Towards Low-Carbon Energy Systems and Fighting Climate Change
The analysis of social, technological and organizational frameworks of efficient energy use renewable energy systems forms the basis for this thematic field.
Session proposals should focus on the analysis of the energy system as a sociotechnical system, the shaping of sustainable energy and the adaption to and mitigation of climate change. Analyzing transition processes to sustainable energy systems, sessions will explore socio-economic aspects of new energy technologies and energy supply, strategies of environmental technology policy and the development of measures for the promotion of renewable energy technologies and for sustainable construction in old and new building stocks. Further important themes are climate-friendly consumption, sustainable lifestyles, regional governance, climate policy strategies, innovation policy, and user involvement.
